Antartic Seals

WALT- We are learning to summarise the main points of a paragraph.

Seals are mammals that live in oceans all over the world. All of the seals at antarctica are non-eared seals. These seals have lots of blubber to keep them warm.

Seals have thick, short hair on their streamlined body, to keep them warm. They have flippers to help them be surperb swimmers. Most of the time seals are in the sea.

All seals are fast in sea but are very clumsy on land they pull themselves up to to give birth to their pups. They also go on the ice to have a rest.

Leopard seals like hunt penguins in the water but they are really slow on land. So the penguins are not scared of them. the seals can't move because they are fat and they have no legs.

Weddell seals are the only seals that stay at Antarctica for the whole winter. But the other seals go and find a warmer place.

Getting ready for fiafia

My name is Suli and I am in the Tongan boys group. My tutors are Mrs Hafoka and Mr J. I already know the moves. My favorite move is when we spin the stick in front of us. I don’t know what  costumes we are wearing on the night.
I can’t wait until Fiafia night when I will be performing in front of my parents. There is only  ten days of practice left. I hope we are the best group.

Mangere pools

Our trip to Mangere pools was a great finish to camp. I've done a lot of activities and I needed to rest. I felt really tired.

We went to the pools but we didn't get in because we had to watch
the swimming race. After the swimming race some of us had to eat morning tea and some of us had to go into the changing room. when  I finished changing I was so excited everyone  was already  in the pool.

Then the slides were open there was a long line at the slide.after that the line got shorter. then the bombing pool and the big slide when you go down it feels like you're going to fall off.I went to the bombing pool and it was really deep when I jumped in i had to float.
